Unplanned time off

The poor wifey seems to have caught a nasty stomach virus and was up all night, which unfortunately meant I was up all night as the bathroom is right next to our bedroom. I e-mailed my boss in the AM and he ok'd me taking the day off to take care of her and catching up on the ZZZs.
I went out first thing and picked my baby up some "sick food" You know gatorade and applesauce. Then I went to BBY (which is Best Buy) and returned an ink cartridge that was defective. That's when I saw this yello beauty. I had a matchbox car just like this when I was a kid and it was my favorite one. My favorite color for YEARS was yellow and I'm pretty sure this car is the reason why.

What a busy Sunday

Got up earlyish this morning and went out to the farm that I hunt on to mow the lawn. The only thing the owner who is an elderly man ask of us is that the people who hunt his property come out and take care of the grass for home. No Problem! There are a pretty good bunch of us too so it's not like it's an every weekend thing.
After I got home from that I decided that it was time to get started on my required Pennsic project. We decided last year that in an effort to make our camp look and feel more medival we would ban the folding camp chairs. Well, today was the day to start mine. I still have a long way to go on this one. I still have to cut the notches for the pegs and make the pegs. Construction will be complete at that point. Next comes finishing, you know, sanding staining and decorating. Last but not least making a cushion for that bad boy. Gezz, I need a break from just thinking about it.

Geetysburg bike week

I am horrible blogger...
I was surronded buy beatuiful bikes all day long and I didn't take a single damn picture.
Failtown, population me.
I did however get rid of my gay-assed mirrors and hard bags today!!!!
We were looking around and Alyssa found a set of leather bags for a good price so after thinking about it for a while I went and got my bike and drove it through the crowd so we could see them on the bike. They looked awesome so we bought them. Wouldn't you know it, Half way through the removal of my old POS hard bags that I hated the look of the clouds oppen up and it starts raining like mad.
Well, the rain eventually stopped and I moved the bike back to the parking lot.
I was feeling kinda ready to go so we did another quick jaut around the merchant area. I had been looking for new mirrors oto replace the one the previous owner had etched some gay-assed flowers into. We picked a set out as we were leaving.
The ride home was alittle more wet than I really like but uneventful and I figure It's Mirror installation time. The left one goes on like a champ but the right one would not thread for ANYTHING!!!! Mother FUCKER!!! Granted I am a mechanical idiot but WTF!!!
After about an hour I decided that the thread must be fucked up and went on a search for a 10mm x 1.25 tap. Lowes, nope. Home depot, fuck no. they had 50% less than lowes. Sears YES!!! $40 broker I head home, retapped and installed the mirrors seen above.
Seriously, I would LOVE to have 1 mechanical thing go easily.
But anyway, I had a nice day with my wife (when I wasn't being grumpy, sorry baby.) got new bag and mirrors and had a decent ride. I'm going to go ahead and chalk this one up as a win!

Goddamned mother fuckers

SO, I get a call from my real estate agent on the way hoem from lunch. She has received a call about our house and the other agent wants to show our house today at 5:45. Fucking A! Hell yes, you can show our house. I call and tell Alyssa the good news, she decides to take off work early to come home and clean house as she was away last weekend. About 30 mins later ANOTHER agent calls and want to show our house tomorrow night. Fucking A & B AWESOME!!!! Unfortunately, I had plans to go to a concert up at Gettysburg bike week with my lovely wife, sister, bro in law and a bunch of friends. Oh well, Selling my house is more important than my social life.
We got home from work and we cleaned and straightened and got everything ready for our prospective home buyers. Guess what, THEY NEVER FUCKING SHOWED UP.
If the showing tomorrow night doesn't happen I WILL FLIP THE FUCK OUT!.
and on top of that, my camera is not working....

Blessed
No picture on this one.
I'm sitting here in my office looking at the good ol "My Pictures" screensaver that MS includes in windows. I have it setup to display all of my pictures randomly.
I find my self all of the sudden being truely grateful for what I have. I was raised by a loving mother and father who did there best to raise me. I have a mother who is fun charming and whitty. A father who I am proud to say I am just like. I have a humongus familly (whether by marriage or blood) who would do anything for me at the drop of a hat if I needed it. I have a beautiful wife who is my best friend, my love and my partner through thick and thin that will always be there for me.
I have a plethora of friends, all from diferent walks or life and experience to both ground, and guide me.
I have had the oppurtunity to travel so far and wide compared to so many people. I've been across the US, to Canadia, the Carribean, Mexico, Belize. I have experienced other cultures and peoples although some people will never get more than 20 miles from the place they were born.
I have a full tummy and living accomadations that many in the world would do anything for.
To each and every person, situation or diety that helped place me where I am, Thank you.
I am truely blessed.
